Two cities, one sound
Tommy Tequila was born in Reus, Spain, with Colombian blood from his mother and a Dutch father. He grew up in Amsterdam, but stood in Medellín on his second birthday. His grandfather still lives there.
Those two worlds are not a backstory, they are the sound. AMSTERDAM x MEDELLÍN is what comes out of the speakers.
From a trial lesson to the stage
At nine he took a trial DJ lesson and never left the decks. Beats2Dance gave him his own radio show for three years. At thirteen he was touring the Netherlands. During lockdown he taught himself to produce, and went on to complete a music production degree at ROC van Amsterdam.
Where he plays
Tommy has played LatinVillage, Pal Mundo, Latino Gang, Chin Chin Festival and Parels van de Stad, and is a resident at Baila Dembow and America Latina. He has shared line-ups with Farruko, Ryan Castro, Manuel Turizo and Cris MJ. Internationally he has played Salou, Marbella, Kos and Club Savoy in Germany.
The music
Reggaeton, dembow, urban latin, afro latin and dancehall. He released his album Mi Sueño in 2025 and the single Se Te Nota in 2026. His ongoing mixtape series Que Chimba shows where the Latin scene stands right now.
What you book
Book Tommy and you do not get a DJ who hides behind the booth. He picks up the mic, he dances, and he goes into the crowd. Not a set, but a latin experience.
